Dummy clips

This stylish clip has a brace clip on one side (which is clipped to baby’s clothes) and on the other side is a loop with Velcro (which is fitted onto a dummy handle).  It is great for keeping baby's dummy clean and near to them. When using the dummy clip, it is never far from reach and allows baby to self sooth. The clip has many uses, it can be used for keeping toys or a sippy cup attached to the pram.  This makes a great gift , whether the baby is near or far. It is very light and easy to post. This is one of the dummy clips, in bright pink. This is a really popular colour for girls. All packed and ready! The dummy clips are priced at R25 each, postage and packing not included.

Taglets - A necessity for baby!

A hool-Egan Taglet consist of 2 squares of different fabrics, with assorted ribbons around the edges. The fabric is light, breathable and easy to wash. This is great for sensory development.  A baby uses their senses to explore the world. Different textures, like the satin of the ribbon, the softness of the fleece, the coolness of cotton and even the loop of the tag,  help baby discover new things. It is also a fantastic self soothing tool.   Babies have been known to sleep with it over their faces or just the gentle rubbing of the fabric is calming.  As a gift, it is really light to post if you have a friend that is far away. I can also tailor make a taglet, to suit the nursery's theme.  Just a few of the many Taglets that I make. A very happy customer with his taglet.  Thanks for looking.   The taglets are priced at R35 each, postage or delivery not included.

Nappy cakes - Great gift for a new mom!

Nappy cakes are fantastic gifts for a new mom. The nappies are formed in such a way that they resemble a cake. They can be as simple as nappies with a beautiful bow or as extravagant as nappies, blankets, baby shoes, Taglets and much more. So, if you need a gift for a new mom, this is an unique idea. Each nappy cake is personalised according to your budget and theme. Look at the pictures below for a few ideas. A few months later....

So much has always happened since the last timed I've blogged. June was filled with lots of birthdays and a weekend away with the family. Then came the June/July holidays which I really enjoyed with the kids. It was so nice to wake up and not have to rush to get out the house. We even had a few days when we were in our pj's till 12. My car was at the mechanic for a while, but it didn't deter our fun. We would walk to my mom in law or just have fun at home. August was our wedding anniversary and two days later was his birthday. The time has just seem to have flown so fast. I've been up to so many projects. I've been working with a factory and they started out so well. Now their work is so untidy and other little problems. Lately when I go see them to get my work, they haven't completed it and I have to wait while they finish. Just lately I have phoned to see how much the next batch of stuff will be and they haven't even completed it. They are pretty far a

Better late then never

So much has happened since the last time I blogged. School started a bit bumpy. Amy started a new school so it took her a while to get settled, but now she absolutely loves it. Nathaniel went to grade 1, in the same school, but didn’t seem to settle as well. It was so stressful but now he loves it. I can’t believe it has taken me so many months to blog again. Since the kids have started school again I don’t have as much time as I did last year. Fetching them by 12:15 doesn’t give me much of a work day. Back to crafts, I have been working on a few things: Invites for my birthday; 2 presents for 2 different kids and Mom’s who care gifts. The invite I’ve done is really cute and my second choice. My first choice was a 3D shoe which I saw at skip to my Lou. I just couldn’t find the right paper that was A4 and also the colour I wanted. In the end I went with a corset shape and designed around that. I got the paper from a place called ‘Paper chain’. They are in Pinetown, just by Walton’s,

Christmas is not over yet.....

I hope that you all have a had a fantastic and wonderful Christmas. I learnt, this Christmas, is to not make plans so far in advance. Here is how the story goes. Last year I had made plans with my sister in law that we would spend 2009 Christmas with us, as we would have the younger of the children and then 2010 Christmas would be with them, as they would have the younger of the children. Of course their Little Miracle decide that she wanted to be born one week before Christmas, 2009. Needless to say we didn't see them all that year for Christmas. Then on to this year. Three days before Christmas I noticed that Nathaniel had a 'pimple' on his forehead. I thought that he was a bit young to be having things like that. The next day I noticed it had popped and also that he had lots of spots on his back. I thought that maybe it was chicken pox, as half his grade came down with it before the end of school, but he seemed ok. He was swimming and playing as usual. Well, the next d
